Description
This is a "romance" subplot I fabricated within LLMC not too long ago although I made Dom and Carmine long before I decided to ship them. Therefore behold, my one and only same-sex couple within the five universes of LunarSpoon. I'll try not to make this needlessly long although it's mostly just a mental note...
I have three specific reasons for pairing these two. First of all, Leroy Lester's Magic Circus takes place in 1952. That time period alone makes the scenario for this relationship interesting and challenging on multiple levels, and I'm excited to write it. "It's '52 and it's taboo."
Second, I'm sick of gay stereotypes. I don't like to say whether I'm anti- or pro- anything at all, but damn I am sick of cliches. In fiction, I want to see homosexuals who aren't self-centered douchebags or inconsiderate perverts, and this is partly my way of bringing another believable modest couple into the world. Additionally, there will be a part where they reluctantly admit their relationship to one of the kind characters who incidentally is religious, and I'd simply love to express how certain religious people should be properly treating others (and that's coming straight from me: a religious person).
Lastly, Dom and Carmine are my amazing friends and long after I made them and thought about it, they're simply a wonderful couple within the story and I'm very excited to develop it more. That doesn't mean I won't swoon over them any less. >w< EeEe...
