Note: It's safe to assume that everything in this journal is not a scientific fact, but personal advice from an artistically opinionated person.

Your work is in your hands and only you can make it as perfect as possible even though perfect will never be possible.
If your best is really your best, it will always turn out somehow.

Do research and study.
Experience is gained through practice and knowledge is gained through research.
They are completely different things.

Never shun your outdated work.
That doesn't necessarily require you to be proud of it.
Whether you realize it or not, everything you have created is a cent in an experience jar.
Taking out those cents won't make the jar any fuller.
Everything has meaning and deserves an amount of respect no matter how terrible it's become.

You can't please everyone all the time.
Attempting to do this will result in pleasing no one including yourself.
In fact, do just that: aim to please yourself.
Imagine sitting in the seat where your audience will sit and work to your satisfaction.
If you're completely satisfied then someone else is bound to be.

An artist's worst fear is having no impact.
The scale is up to you.
Do you care whether you interest a single individual or an entire generation?
You decide when and where the effort is worth it.

People don't change, we only drastically change the world surrounding us.
The mind works the way it always has and actively seeks perfection.
The artist's curse is that only they can see their tiny mistakes within all the victories.
You will never see your work through the refreshed pure eyes of a stranger.
Nevertheless trust that it can be made lovingly and experienced with such victory.
